Rep. Lynn Woolsey (D-CA) is retiring from the House at the end of this year after 20 years in office. The 10-term congresswoman represented the 6th House District in northwestern California, which includes Marin and Sonoma counties.

In November, she spoke about her time as co-chairman of the progressive caucus, calling them the “real Democrats,” as well as her opposition against the Iraq and Afghanistan.

She said her biggest mistake was voting for a 2001 resolution authorizing the initial use of force following the September 11th terrorist attacks.
