U.S. Programs
FMC has created numerous domestic programs which teach about Congress as an institution and public service as a calling. The goal is to combat the often cynical view Americans have of their government in general and the Congress specifically.
The Common Ground Project
The Common Ground Project will strive to foster across-the-aisle dialogue on Capitol Hill and will reach out to the community to create a greater civic understanding amongst voters, to generate a productive discussion about the many issues facing our nation, and to afford citizens a new avenue to express their support for less partisan and more productive politics.
Congress to Campus
Founded in 1976, the Congress to Campus program connects former Members with college students on campuses across the United States to educate them about the legislative branch and public service.
Civics Connection
Created as a tool for high school teachers, the Civics Connection engages former Members of Congress as instructors of basic civics education through a series of webcasts
