Casework Example
A woman at one of my town meetings asked for help. This woman, a veteran, had a service-connected disability. My office opened a case for her and started working with the VA Appeals Management Center on her claim. We have received notification that the rating decision was made and that they are processing the payment for an ailment dating back to 1990.
- About Casework
One of my top responsibilities is to help you if you have concerns or problems with a federal agency. Please contact one of my district offices to discuss how we may be able to help you. The caseworkers on my staff are trained to help you cut through the bureaucratic red tape. My office has years of experience in helping retirees resolve issues with the Social Security Administration, ensuring veterans receive the benefits they earned, and assisting individuals and families with their immigration status.
In working with a federal agency, caseworkers can find the right office to assist you, obtain the correct instructions you will need, and find out the status of your request or application. Although they cannot move a request or application ahead of someone else’s, they can explain special circumstances to the agency and request the appropriate action.
To comply with the Privacv Act of 1974, you will need to complete the privacy form before we can help you.
