Each year, hundreds of young people who are seriously interested in pursuing a career in the military decide to apply to one of our nation's five service academies.  Admission to any of the academies requires a nomination from one of the approved nominating authorities and an appointment from the academy the student wishes to attend.  My office is one of three congressional nominating authorities for students from the Commonwealth of Kentucky.   

Given the level of demand for these nominations, successful candidates will complete in a timely manner all of the requirements of the nominations process.
