A-State football received a great honor when the 89th General Assembly of Arkansas recognized the team for its second consecutive Sun Belt Conference championship and victory in the 2013 GoDaddy.com Bowl.

It is the early 1890’s and itinerant storytellers are the voices of the prairie. Years later, a young story teller is discovered by a radio entrepreneur and becomes famous by telling stories of a hobo named Poppy and a blind girl named Frankie.

Developed by the Center for Digital Initiatives at Arkansas State, the virtual tour gives future students an idea of what the university looks like before they ever step foot on our campus.

Lt. Col. (ret.) Frederick Turner Jr. is a Jonesboro native who became one of the first black students to enroll at ASU. He served as assistant professor of Military Science from 1969 - 1972, becoming the first black member of the instructional staff.
