September 27, 2012 Washington, D.C.- Nevada Senator Harry Reid today announced a $9,711,497 grant for the Washoe County School District to support teachers and improve instruction in math and science. The grant is funded by the U.S. Department of Education through the Teacher Incentive Fund (TIF). Today, the Department of Education awarded a total of $250 million to nearly 1,000 schools nationwide to support TIF-related efforts. ###
