Wasserman Schultz Statement on Veto of Iraq Accountability Act

(Washington, DC)  --  "Today, the President decided to veto accountability for the Iraqi government, his own benchmarks for success and a new direction in Iraq," said Rep. Wasserman Schultz. "The President has signaled that he will continue to demand a blank check from the American people for the war, and defend an open-ended commitment of American troops. Today's veto is just another failure in a series of failures when it comes to President Bush's Iraq policy."
