Admiral Mike Mullen, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, testified before the House Armed Services Committee that, “The biggest threat we have to our national security is our debt.” Congressman Brooks continues to fight for the long-term financial health of our nation. During last year’s debt limit debate, Congressman Brooks introduced HR 2685, Restoring America’s Dignity Act, which would only allow for the debt limit of the United States to be raised if Congress passed a Balanced Budget Amendment.
