Texas' export shipments of merchandise in 2009 totaled $163 billion, the largest figure among the 50 states. Among manufactured products, the state's leading export category is computers and electronic products, which accounted for $32.1 billion (20 percent) of Texas' total merchandise exports in 2009. Other top 2009 manufactured exports were chemical manufactures ($31.0 billion), machinery manufactures ($23.8 billion), and petroleum and coal products ($21.3 billion).
