Support the Providence Holy Cross Hospital Expansion Construction work has stopped at the Mission Hills hospital, which is awaiting a Los Angeles City Council decision on whether to require a full environmental impact report. The Council has not indicated when it will take up the item. Voice your concern to City Council today.
Good Jobs and Green Energy Act The Green Energy and Good Jobs for Los Angeles Act would require installation of solar panels on rooftops by the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power to produce 400 megawatts per year by 2014.

120TH ANNUAL INAUGURAL DINNER. The Chamber celebrated the installation of 2009 Board Chair Fran Inman, Majestic Realty Co., at the Chamber's Inaugural Dinner at the Event Deck at L.A. LIVE, Jan. 29. The Chamber also presented the prestigious Civic Medal of Honor to Thomas V. McKernan., CEO of the Automobile Club of Southern California; the Distinguished Business Leader award to Dr. Ray R. Irani, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Occidental Petroleum Corp., and the Corporate Leadership Award to Woodbury University.
