Washington, DC – U.S. Rep. Nick J. Rahall, top Democrat on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, today released the roster of Committee Democrats for the 113th Congress which includes 10 new members compared to the current Congress. Democrats are gaining an additional seat on the Committee in the new Congress which will bring the ratio of Republicans to Democrats to 33-27.

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Nick J. Rahall (D-WV) was selected by the House Democratic Caucus this morning to serve as the Ranking Member on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee for the new Congress starting January 2013. Rahall has been a Member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee for his entire tenure in Congress and served as the Committee’s top Democrat during the current Congress.

Washington, DC – With thousands of West Virginia residents still waiting to hear if they will be eligible for individual disaster assistance following Superstorm Sandy, U.S. Rep. Nick J. Rahall, top Democrat on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, today pressed the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to ensure that West Virginians affected by the Storm receive the full range of Federal assistance.
