  8. Please join me wherever you are to participate with Members of Congress on the House floor in a moment of silence for those we've lost. My heart goes out to all who have been affected by the devastating tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut.
  9. Words cannot describe the senselessness of today's tragedy. My thoughts and prayers are with the families of Newtown, Connecticut.
  10. No hay palabras para expresar lo insensato que es esta tragedia. Mis pensamientos y oraciones están con las familias de Newtown, Connecticut.
  11. The politics of extremism is threatening to raise taxes on the middle class by the amount of about $2,200 starting January 1st. Democrats and two-thirds of the American people agree... "Take the 98 percent deal."
  12. Once again, the American people are way ahead of the politicians. Congress should listen to calls from constituents to end tax breaks for the top 2% who don’t need them and embrace a fair and balanced approach to meeting our fiscal deadlines. Click “like” if you agree that House Republicans should do the right thing and allow an up or down vote on extending tax cuts for middle class families now.
  13. America’s tax code should reflect the values of our nation – where everyone plays by same rules. I'll be on CNBC’s Closing Bell at 12:30pm PT to discuss.
  14. Thank you POLITICO, for hosting yesterday’s 2012 year in review lunch. We had a good conversation on the need for Congress to extend middle class tax cuts now. American families can’t wait.

  16. Join me today at 9:30am PT for a live Politico lunch discussion. Topics will include tax fairness and how Congress must take a balanced approach meeting our country’s fiscal deadlines. There is no reason to hold our economy hostage when everyone in Congress agrees that we should extend tax cuts for 98% of Americans.
