112th Congress Subcommittee on Oversight
The Subcommittee on Oversight will focus on identifying and reducing wasteful spending within House operations by increasing operational efficiency and streamlining various House technology initiatives. It will also work with the agencies this Committee has direct oversight of by establishing best practices to help improve their services to the House community, as well as the millions of constituents visiting each year. These agencies include the Chief Administrative Officer, Architect of the Capitol, Clerk of the House, Sergeant at Arms, Library of Congress, Smithsonian Institution, Government Printing Office and House Inspector General.
The Committee oversees the management of the Library of Congress, Smithsonian Institution (including the National Zoo), Chief Administrative Officer, Clerk of the House, Sergeant at Arms, House Inspector General, United States Capitol Police, Government Printing Office, Architect of the Capitol, Office of Congressional Accessibility Services, and the Office of Compliance.
