Experience the Asset Store from your browser!
We’re so pleased to announce the release of the Unity Asset Store’s new browser-based interface! For the first time, you can now browse the Asset Store in its entirety from outside the Unity editor– making casual browsing of the store easy and convenient from any browser, anywhere. Getting to the store is now as easy as launching your browser and heading to https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com.
If you haven’t yet familiarized yourself with the Asset Store, this is a great opportunity to dive in. You’ll find nearly everything a game developer could wish for– complete template projects, models of every shape and size, countless textures and materials, an extensive collection of scripts and code libraries, hours of professional music and sound effects, and a broad selection of editor extensions to bring new functionality to Unity. Best of all, we’ve gone out of our way to make sure that these offerings are both affordable and covered by a common, easy-to-use license without legal complexities such as royalties.
What are you waiting for? Set sail to the Unity Asset Store! On the way you’ll meet some great characters, visit beautiful landscapes, and experience some very magical effects. There’s a veritable ocean of content, now available right in your browser. Get going, there’s no time like the present!

Hooray! Finally
Great
Just a suggestion – could you allow tabbed browsing? Currently only links on the left are able to be click for tab browsing, but rest of the links in main interface are not.
Haha, good that you guys finally opened it up. It was always accessible in the browser (kharma.unity3d.com). You just had to use a custom User Agent:
Care to comment why you guys are only making it available now? (because I can’t figure out why Unity haven’t done so since the very beginning)
Like the previous poster, “FInally!” Also I love the RSS feed for new stuff; I check it daily!
Thanks! This is great
Great stuff.
Just wondering if and when the Asset Store team will be introducing a way for publishers to release new versions of their packages with an upgrade price option for those who have bought the previous version? For example, Bitmap2Material 2.0 is now available, but if you already own version 1.6, you have to go outside the Asset Store in order to upgrade. This limitation is the same with Apples App Store.
Awesome!
Fantastic! Been waiting for this for a while
Haha, I’ve always wanted this.
Great stuff! Makes the process of finding, browsing and linking assets a breeze..
Nice. Can’t see december sales in the publisher administration though, the loading wheel just keeps spinning.
Mostly amazing, but please make tabbed browsing work as expected. Great job!
I have been waiting for this for a long time because inside of Unity was really laggy!
I second the notion of better support for tabbed browsing
Great job! Though it would be nice if the domain was assetstore.unity3d.com instead of http://www.assetstore.unity3d.com, it’d be a bit easier to remember.
