Looks like +Yahoo! may be coming back from the grave.

Wow, +Marissa Mayer just became CEO of Yahoo. HUGE news!

Some more thoughts on Marissa Mayer's new CEO job. FINALLY Silicon Valley has a woman in a CEO role that we can be proud of. The other female CEOs simply are not geeky enough to bring innovation to the world. They were business types.

Marissa is a true geek. She codes. When you visit her home she has artwork around that she's coded. No other CEO...

Yahoo has named Marissa Mayer, a longtime Google executive, as its new CEO.
This is really cool. It'd be neat to randomize ones face with the same polygons to see how rough it could be and still get recognized as a face.

Finding the ghost in the machine

This is the best and eeriest thing I've seen in a while. My friend +Phil McCarthy hooked up random polygon generation to the OpenCV face detector software. He then randomly mutated the polygons to make them look more like faces.

If you can recognize, you can create.

Phil's going to put the code on Github, I'll update this post when he does.

This is starting to look like the search engine share reports -- yawn -- another 1-4% lost from Blackberry and Windows to the other two. What seems to be more interesting in my internal stats is that from May to June, gaming consoles just doubled. I'm guessing that the +Google TV enabled consoles are finally usable.

Alright, the last time I saw a list like this it was the same set of passwords (or close enough). You would think people would catch on by now.

But seriously, "monkey" beat "jesus" and "ninja". WTF

Here are the top passwords used by Yahoo! users that were stolen the other day....

Sunshine and ninja are particularly creative. :) I love Freedom too (FREEDOM!).

I still have the old Kryltech programs, and they still work decently for getting any publically posted information.  I'm also using Topsy and some other tools.  That's true about the Google Bombing.  I think it would hit the social sites before the GB effect happens.
