US Navy Blue Angels enter Baltimore Harbor

Blue Angels 1, 2, 3 and 4 - four of seven F/A-18 Hornet U.S. Navy Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Team aircraft fly in the famous Diamond Formation over historic Fort McHenry, where 16.500 people were among the crowd of 75,000 people who watched the show during the city’s Star Spangled Sailabration, commemorating the Bicentennial of the War of 1812 and the writing of the National Anthem, the Star Spangled Banner. The Fort is best known for its role in the War of 1812, successfully defending Baltimore Harbor from a British Navy attack and the inspiration for Francis Scott Key's writing of "The Star-Spangled Banner." Defending attacks which impinge on the freedom of the seas and ensuring unobstructed access to ports for commerce, travel and basic human rights, are fundamental missions of the U.S. Navy, Marines and Coast Guard.
