Since the 1970s, the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard Kennedy School has been a leading source of independent research on all aspects of nuclear policy. The center’s scholars have examined complex issues involving nuclear safety and security, proliferation, and terrorism. We regard threats to nuclear security, and in particular the threat of nuclear terrorism, to be the gravest security risk facing the United States and the world.

In advance of the second Nuclear Security Summit taking place in Seoul, South Korea, on March 26-27, 2012, we have prepared this special website, called the Nuclear Security Summit Dossier. We hope this online dossier will be valuable to participants, journalists, non-governmental organizations and all those who care about nuclear security and the threat of nuclear terrorism.

In addition to this special nuclear summit website, the Belfer Center's permanent website offers access to archives containing decades of research on all facets of nuclear-related policy issues.

Our faculty and fellows are available for media interviews and other briefings. Please sign up for our Belfer Center newsletter and for our periodic emails about new research from our experts, and contact us if you have questions or requests for further information.
