"Kenneth Stewart Davison was born on Christmas Day 1856, son of the late Major-General G. Davison. Entered R.A. 1875, Bengal Staff Corps 1882; Captain, Indian Army 1901; D.A.A. and Q.M.G. Bengal. Served in the Waziristan expedition 1894 and was mentioned in despatches. Commanded 2nd Bengal Lancers 1901-09; Brig-Gen 1910; Maj-Gen 1911; Brig-Gen Commanding Nazimbad Brigade 1910-19; served Mesopotamia 1915-16 as Inspector General of Communications, despatches. "
