Let us stand together in support of our fellow Americans on this day.
- I want to congratulate Ms. Concepción Niño of Mission, Texas, on her 100th birthday. A member from my staff presented her today with a Congressional Certificate of Recognition. I wish her many more years of health and happiness.
- I am honored to have been appointed today to the powerful House Appropriations Committee which is in charge of overseeing the Federal budget, reviewing proposed expenditures and crafting the legislation that outlines annual spending for government agencies.
