Ask a Professional Comedian: Chris D’Elia
blogged-degges asked you:For Chris D’Elia: what was it like working with the Workaholics crew?
Awesome. Those dudes are hilarious. Good friends of mine.
cullthelivingflower asked you:For Chris D’Elia: Has the Ten Minute Podcast and your Vines helped your stand up at all? Any of your characters/in jokes make it to stage? For example” ‘ssz it’sseptable’t’talk’like’this’onnn’stage’now’yr’all’ mainstream’n’shiiit? Lots of love man.
Hahaha. Love the punctuation. I often say stuff on the podcast and then put it in my act. Vine is more something that I consider totally different tho. Just time waster and fun for me. Thanks for the love. Enjoy the special.
burger—wolf asked you:Chris, when is Topher gonna come back to Workaholics?
Wish I knew bro. Ask the creators! Happy to go back.
Anonymous asked you:So where in LA do you live? You know in case a girl wants to meet you.
Hahaha. Well since you’re anonymous… I live… Somewhere.
cullthelivingflower asked you:For Chris D’Elia: How did you end up choosing the laugh factory as “your” club? Is stand up your passion or do you want to move more into TV? How did you get so good at improvising? Also how old is Bryan Callen?!
I would say The Comedy Store is my club. Laugh Factory as well I suppose. CS has always had my back tho. Even before LF. I obsess about inprovising. Always making fun of my friends and myself. So I just got comfortable on stage and now do it up there. Thank you. Bryan is 79.
wezmoore asked you:Hey Chris, the question I’m using for my dissertation is ‘Should there be boundaries to comedy?’ So, are there any subjects you personally tend to stay away from when writing your stand up? Are there any subjects you think no one should ever joke about? Cheers
There are zero boundaries and no comedian should ever apologize for what he said on stage. Ever.
Anonymous asked you:Chris: what’s better, standup or acting?
I personally like stand up better. No one can mess with what you say. No one edits you. It’s all pure.

keeskaleidoscope asked you:For Chris D’Elia - I read in Esquire today that you’re a Hip-Hop fan! You mentioned that Pusha T’s My Name Is My Name is the best album of the year - great choice! What’s your favourite old school/throwback hip-hop album?
Has to be “all eyes on me” tupac Shakur! The best album ever. Ever ever ever. He’s the reason I listen to music.
Anonymous asked you:Chris Delia: Can you please come back to Connecticut?
To be quite honest it’s my second least favorite place to perform. First is Pittsburg. But yes. You seem nice. So I will come. :-)
thereweglow asked you:To Chris Delia, How and when did you make your move from Jersey to LA?
I moved when I was 12. My dad moved the family out. My mom, my brother and two ewoks.
ccdoesntknowwhathesdoin asked you:This is for Chris I couldn’t think of anything to ask you at the moment So I’m gonna tell you some jokes why did Susie fall off the swing, she had no arms, knock knock, who’s there, not Susie where was Susie after the bombs went off, everywhere
Don’t quit your day job… Unless you are a comedian.
