      • Olivia arrives at a scrapyard to retrieve an industrial-sized electromagnet that Walter needs for his plan. Meanwhile, Walter examines another Observer chip and learns that Peter’s cerebral cortex is growing, erasing the parts of his brain that control emotion.
      • Scrapyard owner Simone has been expecting Olivia — for 21 years. Her people have kept the magnet, and the faith in Walter’s plan. Her assistant dispatches others to get diesel fuel for the truck carrying the magnet.
      • While waiting for the fuel, Olivia meets a little girl who says everyone is talking about her. What are they saying? That she’s wanted on the Observers’ Reward Wire.
      • Olivia confronts Simone. But this mildly psychic woman is no Observer pawn. She knows Olivia lost her daughter — twice — and that Olivia is carrying the bullet Etta wore. Later, that bullet saves Olivia’s life during a run-in with bandits.
      • Peter is confronted by Captain Windmark, who knows Peter’s been manipulating his timeline. But the Observer leader is manipulating Peter’s timeline too. Windmark has control.
      • Though the chip is robbing Peter of emotion, he’s still consumed by his need to avenge Etta. He battles Windmark and escapes, resuming his plan to reset Windmark’s timeline and create an opportunity to kill him.
      • Windmark doesn’t realize he inadvertently gave Peter the key to salvation: Etta’s last thought, of being with her parents as a child. Olivia makes Peter see that their love for Etta is strength, not weakness, and he finally returns to his true, human self.

      • Dr. Walter Bishop finds the seventh videotape and decides to investigate alone. In a Boston apartment building, he meets a woman who may have seen him there decades ago, before the Observers light-bombed the place.
      • In Apartment 413, Walter consults his notebook, then steps out a pattern on the floor and vanishes into a pocket universe he created to hide an important piece of his plan.
      • Walter meets Cecil, who was accidentally blown into the pocket during the light-bombing. To Cecil, the 20 years seem like only five days, because time and physics work differently here.
      • The others are surprised to find that Walter went off alone. They track him to the apartment, taking the camera along to use the video as a guide.
      • Astrid stays behind while Peter and Olivia follow the sequence of steps recorded on the tape and go through the portal to find Walter.
      • Surveillance cameras captured Walter outside the building, and Captain Windmark’s troops soon arrive and overpower Astrid. Thanks to Observer vision, they easily spot the portal . . . and enter.
      • With Observers attacking from every side, Walter struggles to remember the way back. Somehow, Peter retraces their steps out of the pocket universe.

      • The resistance captures an Observer and a cube-shaped piece of tech the baldies use to open a portal from the future, transporting components for their air-degradation machine. At Harvard, Peter tries to put the cube together.
      • Peter thinks they can use the cube to destroy the Observers’ shipping corridor, which is actually a wormhole. Walter warns that if Peter puts it together wrong, they could all be blown to kingdom come.
      • Walter tells Peter that it’s possible, though extremely dangerous, to turn the Observers’ wormhole into a black hole. They could collapse their end using the cube and an antimatter baton.
      • Astrid and Olivia say the corridor will be guarded by Observers and armed Loyalists, making it hard to get close enough to toss in the antimatter. Walter explains they’ll use the cube to open the corridor in a different area.
      • Olivia tries to talk Peter out of his plan, but he’s determined to hurt the Observers and avenge Etta’s death. He says they have to do this, and they can — together.
      • Peter takes the cube to where Anil’s holding the captured Observer. The resistance hasn’t been able to force the Observer to reveal anything about the cube, but Peter has his own ways of getting information.
      • Anil explains how they keep their prisoner immobilized. He says that Observers’ abilities are aided by tech, showing Peter where a chip is inserted in the back of the Observer’s neck.

      • Dr. Walter Bishop's latest videotape sends the Fringe team to Newark Penn Station to retrieve a metal tube containing plans they need to defeat the Observers. Walter approaches the checkpoint with a surprise for the guards.
      • After taking out the guards with a toxin that suffocates people by closing up their orifices, Walter and Peter Bishop find the metal tube inside a wall under the platform.
      • Outside the station, Olivia Dunham and Etta Bishop shoot more of the deadly toxin at Observers and Loyalist troops.
      • Mission accomplished, Peter hustles back to the station wagon under fire from all sides.
      • Walter examines the plans. It's physics of some sort, in his handwriting, but it's all Greek to him. Or Aramaic, since he reads Greek. Anyway, Walter doesn't understand them.
      • The team prepares to head back to the lab, but first they get a surprise visit from Phillip Broyles! It's an emotional reunion for all.
      • After Broyles met Etta, she recruited him into the resistance and taught him to hide his thoughts. He has weapons for them . . . but the Observers have caught up!
