Chuck Runion of Washington, N.C., recently received a certificate from Congressman Walter B. Jones, Jr., for his 24-year service to the U.S. Navy before retiring.

He was a pilot in World War II and the Korean War, flying more than 80 different aviation vessels throughout his career, and he has won many awards.
