RECIPE FOR A HAPPY NEW YEAR
~ Author Unknown ~
Take twelve whole months.
Clean them thoroughly of all bitterness,
hate, and jealousy.
Make them just as fresh and clean as possible.
Now cut each month into twenty-eight, thirty, or
thirty-one different parts,
but don’t make up the whole batch at once.
Prepare it one day at a time out of these ingredients:
Mix well into each day one part of faith,
one part of patience, one part of courage,
and one part of work.
Add to each day one part of hope,
faithfulness, generosity, and kindness.
Blend with one part prayer, one part meditation,
and one good deed.
Season the whole with a dash of good spirits,
a sprinkle of fun, a pinch of play,
and a cupful of good humor.
Pour all of this into a vessel of love.
Cook thoroughly over radiant joy,
garnish with a smile,
and serve with quietness, unselfishness,
and cheerfulness.
A note from me:
May the New Year Bring Us

Thank you to all the TCL Blog, Facebook and Twitter followers for your kindness and friendship this past year.
I'd also like to thank all the bloggers out there for your hard work. It's been an interesting year. It may not have turned out the way we had hoped for, but we can't give up. Let's start the new year with determination and hope that we can somehow make a difference, even if it's bringing to light something that was missed by just one individual or somehow influencing our leaders in DC to do the right thing once in a while.
After all, if we sit back and give up, they win.
We know our country is in peril due to the destructive agenda of the White House and the cowardice of many in the GOP, but let us remember Who is really in charge of our lives. Continue praying to Him for guidance and strength to deal with whatever comes our way this year and into the future.
Happy New Year 2013!
