Break time

December 16, 2012

All of this blogging and writing about the school shooting has worn me out. Too emotionally draining, my eyes look like Hell, it seems that since the birth of my niece Savanna Grace and nephew Logan Alexander, and the passing of Logan at only three months that I get extra emotional over kids. Frankly, I dread the time when Savannah will have to start kindergarten, she is three now, not because I do not want her to grow up, or make friends, but because I do not trust our government to protect her.

So, I am going to go do some house cleaning and watch football, and oh yeah, play with my niece Talk to y’all later

So, let me understand this. We need to take guns away from heroes to make us safer?

December 16, 2012

The Delusional Left refuses to live in the real world. They are screaming to ban handguns, assault weapons because a 20-year-old psycho, who cannot legally have handguns murdered his mother, stole her guns, and slaughtered 20 children? The Left wants more gun control even though Connecticut has very strict gun laws already. Laws that did nothing to stop the killer. Killers like this walk through laws and go on killing sprees, largely because the left has defined schools as “gun free zones” as if a sign will stop a mass murderer. But, who are they seeking to disarm here?

In last week’s mall shooting in Oregon, the mall was also super safe because it is a gun free zone by the way, a hero with a concealed carry permit helped stop the shooter and saved lives. Why would the Left wish to disarm him?

The shooting last week at the mall in Clackamas, Oregon has been overshadowed by the tragedy that unfolded Friday morning at an elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut. In Oregon two innocent human beings lost their lives, but perhaps the carnage would have been worse if not for Nick Meli, who has a concealed carry permit and was in the mall when the gunman opened fire. Meli pulled his weapon, but did not shoot the gunman because there were bystanders who could have been injured. The gunman saw Meli, an armed citizen, and rather than shoot more innocents he pointed his weapon at himself.

“He was working on his rifle,” said Meli.  ”He kept pulling the charging handle and hitting the side.”

The break in gunfire allowed Meli to pull out his own gun, but he never took his eyes off the shooter.

“As I was going down to pull, I saw someone in the back of the Charlotte move, and I knew if I fired and missed, I could hit them,” he said.

Meli took cover inside a nearby store.  He never pulled the trigger.  He stands by that decision.

“I’m not beating myself up cause I didn’t shoot him,” said Meli.  “I know after he saw me, I think the last shot he fired was the one he used on himself.”

Tens of thousands of Americans use guns every year to defend themselves, the lowest estimate shows that 274 Americans per day act heroically BECAUSE they are armed, but the Left wishes to disarm them? Of course, the Left insists that this is the only way, and the Left are the geniuses behind gun free zones, right? Certainly the Left cringes when anyone suggests armed security in schools, or allowing teachers with concealed carry permits have guns in school. And again, Sandy Hook Elementary, a gun free zone, became a killing zone Friday. And one very heroic woman, the school principal sacrificed herself by charging the gunman. What if this woman had a gun?

Town officials in Connecticut say the principal who died in the rampage at an elementary school was killed while lunging at the gunman as she tried to overtake him.

Dawn Hochsprung was gunned down in Friday’s massacre in Newtown. Board of Education chairwoman Debbie Liedlien says administrators were coming out of a meeting when the gunman forced his way into the school and ran toward them.

Perhaps this woman, this hero would have chosen not to carry, but if she had, certainly she would have a much better chance against the shooter. But, again, any choice she would have made was negated by the gun free zone nonsense. Also note that if armed security had been in place the shooter would have been dead before he was able to force his way into the school. But, all of that matters not to the Left. All they can do is blame guns, and law-abiding gun owners. If the Left truly wants to point fingers they ought to go look into a mirror.

How do thugs like Jerry Nadler (D-irtbag) get elected?

December 16, 2012

Have we really sunk so far? From Madison, and Franklin, and Mason, and Jefferson and Washington to bottom feeders like THIS bag of dung?

Out of all the Democrats exploiting this tragedy, Nadler is leading the pack.

(CNY) — Today, following the shooting massacre of 20 children in a Connecticut school, President Obama said that “meaningful action” needed to be taken to prevent such tragedies from happening in the future.

But what “meaningful action” can Obama actually take, given Republican control of the House and Congress’ deeply felt fear of the politically mighty National Rifle Association? And politics aside, what new laws would actually solve or make a dent in the country’s crazed-gunman problem?

Rep. Jerry Nadler said thinks that the president has only one option.

“There’s only one meaningful action he can take, which is to take on the N.R.A., label them as the enablers of mass murderers they are, really push for strong gun-control legislation and call out those congressional leaders who don’t support it,” Nadler told me this afternoon.

“It is time to call out the N.R.A. as enablers of mass murder and start embarrassing people and saying, ‘Who do you stand with? The parents and children of this country or the potential mass murderers?’”

The fact is if there HAD been a couple of NRA members there they would have done their best to stop the killer, but Nadler does not give  a flip about facts. I suppose slandering people who value liberty and obey the law is a small price to pay for furthering his Statist agenda. Instead of looking gleefully at this as an opportunity to eradicate self-defense rights, why is Nadler not pushing for armed security in our schools? Could it be he cares far more about control than he does about protecting kids?

Morally retarded publicity whores threaten to descend on Sandy Hook Elementary

December 16, 2012

The Westboro Bastards Church is going to go too far one day.

I cannot think of a more cruel bunch of trash. To seek to inflict more pain upon these families? If these miscreants possess souls they must be black. Like I said one day they will picket the wrong person’s funeral.

A perfect question for Eric Holder

December 16, 2012

Eric Holder our Attorney General, had some interesting comments on gun rights yesterday

“As a nation I think we have to ask ourselves some hard questions. We gather too often to talk about these kinds of incidents. We need to discuss who we are as a nation, talk about the freedoms that we have, the rights that we have and how those might be used in a responsible way.

Ah, so we should use our liberties in “responsible” ways. OK, but I am troubled by one thing. When someone speaks of using our rights responsibly, what do they mean? Likely they have their own definition of responsible. So, to better gauge what Holder means I have one question. If I were to give, or sell my guns to a Mexican drug cartel, would he consider that responsible?

Fiscal Cliff update! Speaker Beohner offers up tax hikes on millionaires

December 16, 2012

Point one. Boehner ought to know better, Obama is seeking to use this issue to cripple the GOP.

Point two. This added revenue will do nothing to reign in the deficit, because it does nothing to reign in the real  problem SPENDING!

Point three. No matter what Boehner and the party do, the Democrats and media will still blame them for everything.

Point four. Once you abandon your principles the game is over.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Signaling new movement in “fiscal cliff” talks, House Speaker John Boehner has proposed raising the top rate for earners making more than $1 million, a person familiar with the negotiations said. President Barack Obama, who wants higher top rates for households earning more than $250,000, has not accepted the offer, this person said.

The proposal, however, indicated progress in talks that had appeared stalled. The person would only discuss the plan on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the negotiations.

As part of a broader budget deal, Boehner is still seeking more spending cuts than Obama has proposed, particularly in mandatory health care spending. Boehner has asked for a long-term increase in eligibility age for Medicare and for lower costs-of-living adjustments for Social Security.

Point five. Who wants to bet that those spending cuts never happen? Who wants to bet the Democrats are calling for more spending by next Summer?

I guess the Left would argue we need “evil control”

December 15, 2012

Since the Left deludes themselves into believing that a law will make violent criminals, of nut cases behave, why don’t they just demand a new bill banning evil? Which is exactly what caused the school shooting Friday, evil! Stacy McCain makes a great point

Meanwhile, the New York Times has a story about the shooter’s first victim, his mother. Something that crosses my mind: You start your murder spree by shooting your own mother in the face, and end it by killing yourself — why kill all 26 innocent women and children in between?

Evil.

Adam Lanza wasn’t “autistic” or suffering from an “illness.” He was evil.

Daniel Greenfield: The only way to stop a bad man with a gun is with a gun

December 15, 2012

Greenfield is a great writer, and he lays out the rational position on gun ownership here

It takes a gun to stop a man with a gun. That is the hard truth of human affairs. It is why we have a Second Amendment, it is why we have armies and police, and it is why people own guns.

There is no going back to a time before people owned guns. There is no going back to a time when violence did not exist. There is only the reality that killers stalk the streets and that we can either defend against them or take comfort in empty outrage.

Guns stop shootings. Not all the time and not every time, but they do. Gun control does not. Media coverage calling for gun control does not.

Go read it all, including the numerous cases in Europe where bad guys have walked into schools and murdered kids despite Europe’s vaunted gun control measures. Laws do not stop killers, force does. Murder is evil, and those that would end mayhem and murder by disarming the law-abiding are aiding evil whether they know it or not.

Right on cue, here come the tragedy pimps and the incredibly clueless gun bashers

December 15, 2012

We knew as soon as we heard of yesterday’s shooting that the cries to have “gun control” would come in droves. And, of course they did, as if Adam Lanza, who broke law on top of law, including the ones installing schools as gun-free zones would have been stopped by some new law. A magic law that would have somehow prevented a deranged man like Lanza from committing mass murder. Of course many of these buffoons are simply victims of a concentrated effort to demonize guns. The gun-grabbing left tells repeated lies about the “easy accessibility of guns, and naive Liberals believe them and repeat them. They cry out for a new law to prevent such tragedies. They might as well pray to the tooth Fairy frankly. Many in the blogging world have been chronicling these calls for gun control, and the tragedy pimps who almost seem delighted that they can possibly use yesterday as a tool to disarm Americans.

Doug Giles has a great quote from Penn Jillette

“Every time something really bad happens, people cry out for safety, and the government answers by taking away rights from good people”

Very true, and the Statists who seek to take guns away from us use rhetoric to stir the emotions of Liberals who react with cries for more gun control. Giles also calls for allowing teachers to arm themselves

But imagine if at least one teacher (with a concealed weapons permit) had their .40 caliber Glock with them, locked and loaded, when this weed Adam Lanza began his murderous mayhem today on the Sandy Hook Elementary School campus? What would have happened differently?

Would idiot boy have been able to slay 20 children and 6 teachers? I doubt it. But then again . . . who knows?

However, I’m guessing that this terminal turd might not have dealt out as much death (if any) if the good guy with the gun drew down on him and doubled tapped the center mass of this jackass with a couple of jacketed hollow points.

Unfortunately, there was no concealed weapon in the possession of a teacher to stop this satanic weed from taking root because guns are disallowed on campus. Correct me if I’m wrong, but haven’t the majority of the mass murders within the US in the last 20-30 years been in the Gun Free Zones?

Gun Free Zones turn the people who inhabit such places into sitting ducks for insane whack jobs with death wishes. I know, some schools have campus cops and security systems however, that line of defense brings zero comfort to most parents if serious bullet flying $#*& starts hitting the fan in one of their kid’s classes.

Look, even the best Rambo like police force equipped to the teeth, driving Vipers and descending en masse on a school in Black Hawk helicopters could not have responded fast enough to kill this Lanza piece of crap. But a fast thinking, well-trained teacher could have.

I have already posted my thoughts on having adequate security in our schools. And I have no problem with allowing concealed carry permit holders who are teachers to carry either. We have to admit to ourselves that we MUST be willing and able to meet evil when it shows its face. Even if every gun were taken by the government, evil would still seek to prey upon us

A knife-wielding man slashed 22 children and an adult at an elementary school in central China on Friday, state media reported, the latest in a series of attacks on schoolchildren in the country.

The man attacked the children at the gate of a school in Chenpeng village in Henan province, the Xinhua news agency reported.

Police arrested a 36-year-old man, identified as villager Min Yingjun, Xinhua said. It did not give further details of the extent of the injuries.

There have been a series of attacks on schools and schoolchildren around China in recent years, some by people who have lost their jobs or felt left out of the country’s economic boom.

The rash of violence has prompted public calls for more measures to protect the young in a country where many couples only have one child.

In 2010, a man slashed 28 children, two teachers and a security guard in a kindergarten in eastern China.

Sound familiar? A rash of violent attacks, calls for greater security. And this in a country that, according to Liberal theology, should have no violence, since there is no right to have a gun at all. But that has not stopped  evil men

Early in the morning on March 23, Zheng Minsheng walked in front of an elementary school in Fujian province. Wielding a knife, he attacked the students who happened to be around, killing eight and wounding several others.

Authorities said Zheng, 42, carried out the attack because he was frustrated at “failures in his romantic life,” according to the official Xinhua News Agency. Whatever his real motive was, the senseless killing, reported widely by the Chinese media, shocked the nation. Zheng was tried, sentenced to death and executed on April 28.

If Chinese authorities thought Zheng’s execution would deter similar attacks, they were wrong. The day he was executed, a knife-wielding man attacked elementary school students in southern Guangdong province, wounding 16 students and a teacher. The attacker was later subdued by the police, and no one died.

The next day, a man in Jiangsu province barged into a kindergarten and stabbed 31 people, including 28 students, two teachers and one security guard. “It was too horrible to imagine,” one eyewitness told local reporters. “I saw blood everywhere.” Police apprehended the suspect, 47-year-old Xu Yuyuan.

Then, on April 30, a man barged into a village school in Shandong province, carrying a hammer and a can of gasoline. Wang Yonglai, a local farmer, attacked preschool students with the hammer, causing head injuries. He then set himself on fire and died. According to a Xinhua report, the local farmer went berserk after the local police told him that the family house he had just built using 110,000 yuan (US$16,110) of family savings had to be torn down because it had been built on farmland, which is illegal in China.

It was the third such school attack in three days.

So, taking away the guns will not work. Yet, the Left never learns. Japan also has strict gun laws? Have these laws prevented evil doers?

Tomohiro Kato, arrested after his Sunday lunchtime stabbing spree that left seven dead and 10 injured, has been handed over to prosecutors and is likely to face the death penalty.

Perhaps that is what he wanted.

The police say that he went to Tokyo’s Akihabara shopping district to kill people, saying he was tired of life.

Again, has gun control in Japan ended school attacks by lunatics?

A knife-wielding man burst into an elementary school in Osaka this morning, killing at least eight first- and second-grade students and injuring at least 21 other pupils and faculty, police said.

Although crime has been on the rise in recent years in Japan, the massacre deeply shocked this nation, which outlaws guns and generally is considered so safe that parents let their 6-year-olds ride the subway alone to school.

How about in Australia? How has banning guns worked there? Has crime ended?

Erica Vowles: It seems a week doesn’t go past without a report of a knife attack in one of our major cities. These reports are adding to fears that a knife crime culture is spreading across Australia. Police say more people are carrying knives, and using them, while hospitals report having to treat more patients coming in with stab wounds.

As a result, in 2009, Victoria passed tough stop-and-search laws aimed at stopping people carrying knives. These laws were strengthened in July this year.

New laws are also being considered in Western Australia and South Australia. Civil libertarians warn, however, that these laws might be having some unintended consequences. Criminologists also question whether our governments truly have a handle on the nature and number of knife crimes in Australia. But the stories of victims are hard to ignore.

How about the UK, SURELY their strict gun laws have stopped crime. Ask all the folks being attacked with knives

The latest UK knife crime statistics have shown that thousands of persons were attacked with intent to rob in 2011. The disturbing statistics about knife and gun crime are nothing new, and they are problems which do not appear to be getting better.  Protect Yourself is currently campaigning for body armour to be made a tax-free commodity, to allow those professionals and concerned citizens at risk to protect themselves, at a lower cost. Currently body armour is charged at normal VAT, yet protective boots are VAT free. See BODY ARMOUR PETITION for more information on that. We plan to start promoting that throughout this year, and it is something Director Peter Nunn of Protect Yourself Ltd is very clear on:

“Body armour should be a tax-free purchase for all, you should not tax essential personal protective equipment, it’s not right”

The knife robberies statistic of over 15 thousand attacks (only those reported, many more are not) during 2011 in the UK, shows that thousands of people were robbed at knife-point last year, which is over one thousand per month. It is a disgusting and worrying, yet accurate, depiction of a crime ridden nation which can only be solved through drastic action, ideally a massive increase in police numbers, and a greater public awareness and intolerance of violent and anti social behaviour.

Yet the Left uses the UK as a shining example of gun controls effectiveness. I guess they see stabbings as safer somehow?

More than 350 people are the victim of knife assaults every day in England and Wales, the latest crime figures have revealed.

Last night a teenager in Lambeth, London, became the latest victim of the stabbing epidemic, dying in hospital after a frenzied attack.

Almost 130,000 attacks involved knives last year  -  equivalent to one every four minutes  -  according to the annual British Crime Survey.

This figure does not include the tens of thousands of assaults against under-16s. However, unlike the police records published yesterday, it does include crimes which are not reported to the authorities.

The police data revealed 22,000 serious knife assaults  -  including 231 attempted murders  -  were reported to the police last year.

There were also almost 14,000 reported robberies and more than 8,000 woundings.

As the Daily Mail revealed exclusively yesterday, the forces’ data, which was gathered for the first time this year, starkly illustrated how knife crime has spread beyond the major cities into the shires.

The British Crime Survey figure of 130,000 knife attacks is substantially higher than the police’s figure. This is thought to be because many victims never report being threatened with a knife  -  and even assaults needing hospital treatment go unrecorded.

130,000 knife attacks? That number reminded me of David Frum, who mocked the victims on Twitter yesterday

davidfrum@davidfrum

Shooting at CT elementary school. Obviously, we need to lower the age limit for concealed carry so toddlers can defend themselves.

Hmmm, overlooking how despicable such a comment is for a second, let us look at something else Frum wrote recently

Last week, I presented in this space some evidence of the dangers of gun ownership: the elevated risks of accident and suicide in households that own guns. I pointed to a paradox: More Americans support gun rights, even as fewer Americans own guns. I explained this paradox with data that suggested many Americans hold false ideas about the prevalence of crime — and wrongly look to gun ownership for self-defense.

Over the following seven days, I heard from many angry gun-rights supporters.

They argued that gun ownership is necessary for self-protection. They narrated stories of how their guns had saved them or their loved ones in armed confrontations.

And of course that must sometimes be true. The question is: How often is it true? And how do the benefits of widespread gun ownership compare with the measurable harms in higher rates of accident, suicide and crime?

Government figures from the National Survey of Criminal Victimization suggest 100,000 uses a year of guns in self-defense against crime, the vast majority of these uses being the display of weapons to deter or dissuade.

For gun advocates, however, the main problem with the government estimate is that it is not nearly high enough to support their case that private gun ownership is the best way to stop crime.

I would ask Frum if he has ever doe the math on that number? If you divide the number of days in a year, 365 into 100,000, which is by the way the LOWEST estimate of defensive gun uses I have found, you get this result, 274. That is 274 American using guns to defend themselves daily. Certainly that is a significant number. A number Frum finds too low to matter apparently. So how many gun murders were there in America in 2010?

In 2010 – the latest year for which detailed statistics are available – there were 12,996 murders in the US. Of those,8,775 were caused by firearms.

OK, that works out to 24 Americans per day. A number everyone wishes were lower, zero would be good to me frankly. But, consider that the number of defensive gun uses are more than 11 times that number. What would the murder rate be if those 100,000 Americans were disarmed? Certainly it would be higher, as would the number of dead in a few school shootings where armed citizens cut the rampage short because they were armed.

So, crime, and violent attacks seem to be something that more laws do not stop, even gun bans have not worked in several nations. Yet, the Statists will still tell their lies, and the gullible Liberals will drink that Kool-Aid all too gladly. They prefer to believe that armed good guys, who never commit acts of evil are causing the actions of psychopaths. Again, one more glaring example from here, in America. Chicago with possibly the strictest gun laws in the nation has had seven shootings since yesterday afternoon

Seven people —including four teenagers— were wounded in separate shootings since Friday afternoon throughout the city.

The latest shooting happened about 9:45 p.m. in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side. A 26-year-old man was standing with a group of people in the 1500 block of South Sawyer when shots were fired, police said.

If Liberals believe gun control works, all they need do is look to Chicago. Or maybe Germany, as Ace points out

One failed law is just the predicate for the next one.

WINNENDEN, Germany — A teenage gunman killed 15 people, most of them female, on Wednesday in a rampage that began at a school near Stuttgart in southern Germany and ended in a nearby town, where he then killed himself after the police wounded him.The attack left Germany, which tightened tough gun controls after a similar attack at a school seven years ago, struggling to understand the carnage that had again befallen it, a country with relatively little violent crime. In 2002, a gunman killed 16 people before killing himself at a school in Erfurt, in eastern Germany.

They had tough gun laws; they had a school shooting. They tightened those tough gun laws; they had another school shooting

What we SHOULD have been doing years ago to prevent school shootings?

December 15, 2012

No one with a shred of morality could help but be devastated by yesterday’s horrific events. Evil was visited upon us and the toll, is, in ways immeasurable. There is no more heinous an act than what was perpetrated yesterday. Babies slaughtered by an evil man, so close to Christmas. Dear God this is awful. I can not imagine how any parent, or grandparent or sibling copes with such an atrocity. I do not know if I could. Our national heart has been broken, but the hearts of these families? I pray God gets the through, and, in fact, I think ONLY God could get anyone through such a time. I so wish we could, as a nation, simply grieve and look at ways to be pro-active, rather than reactive in such a time. But, the usual inane blame game has started already, and that simply adds to the sadness I feel.

No, it was not video games, or movies, or guns that caused this act. Only two things are to blame, and only one of those can we hope to have any control over. The one thing we cannot control is the severe mental illness that drives such murderers. I know  many work diligently to find ways to predict certain behaviors. Maybe one day they will find a way. Should we look at institutionalizing people with certain mental abnormalities? The Other McCain, whom I respect, raises this topic

Psycho, loony, bonkers, daft, zany, berserk and cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs.

Advocates for the mentally ill discourage such colloquial terms as tending to stigmatize psychiatric patients. But we might ask whether stigma — and the consequent damage to the fragile self-esteem of kooks — is really worse than turning loose a homicidal schizo who kills 27 people.

I saw we might ask that, except that it’s politically incorrect to do so. We have been carefully taught that wackos are victims, and we’re not supposed to talk about the possibility that they might also be dangerous, lest we infringe the “rights” of murderous lunatics.

To quote Dirty Harry, “Well, I’m all broken up over that man’s rights.”

You’ll excuse me if I sound somewhat bitter about it, but this school shooting kind of spoiled my plans for the day. And also, some kids in Newtown, Connecticut, will miss the rest of their lives.

Our culture has lost all sense of perspective, of reasonable balance, so that we are unable to make common-sense judgments about risks. Which is the greater danger: That a schizophrenic might have his feelings hurt, or that a schizophrenic might go off his meds and kill people?

Common sense is quite nearly illegal nowadays and it’s certainly unfashionable in the Obama Age. So the usual liberal dingbats — including the ACLU types who assured us it was “a fearless, independent life style” for a crazy woman to defecate in public on the streets of Manahattan — are telling us we need more gun control.

And I say, no, what we need is more kook control. But no member of Congress in either party would have the guts to introduce “The Dangerous Lunatic Incarceration Act of 2013,” which would put wackjobs like Adam Lanza some place where they couldn’t kill people.

The question here, to me, is this. Do I trust the government to judge who is a “danger”. That, of course is a big one isn’t it? To be sure some people ought to be locked up, in a mental health facility, but, who do I trust to use such a responsibility properly? I doubt Congress, as inept as it is, could be trusted not to screw that up. I know that McCain IS on the right track here. It is who decides that concerns me.

Now, the other thing to blame is pretty straight forward, certainly it is not as complicated as who should be taken to the Padded Wall Hotel.  That other thing that SHOULD have been in place ever since Columbine. That other thing being this. We spend money on top of money on education, yet none goes to properly securing our schools? That other thing that, I am almost sure WOULD have stopped the act yesterday, and would have stopped most, if not all recent school shootings is to have armed security in our schools. Yes, I know, Liberals will howl over this idea. I can hear them now. “What kind if country do we want to live in?” Well, how about a country that acts pro-actively to protect our children? That IS, after all, one responsibility our government actually does have. So what is the plan? Here it is…

Driving home yesterday, a caller to the Medved Show, a retired police officer suggested that we hire retired police officers to protect our schools. His argument was sound. These who are trained, and know what to do. Their job would be one thing. To prevent such atrocities. I would add some particulars. I would prefer that private companies handle this security. In my view they would be more trustworthy than some government agency. The only provisions would be that they hire former, or current police officers, especially former SWAT, former FBI agents, or Secret Service agents, former U.S. Marshals, military personnel, especially former special forces Rangers, SEALS, Green Berets, Marine Recon, etc. In other words people with particular skill sets that could be trusted to neutralize threats to our children in school. The answer to violence is not to be found in metal detectors, ID badges. It is in having trained, armed personnel who have the ability, and willingness to take deadly action to stop violent predators.

Such a plan, in my view would have two immediate impacts. First, the security measures these people would implement would certainly be much more effective than current ones. Second, the temptation to attempt such an act of horror, and do not delude yourself into thinking that such acts are not beyond the minds of terrorists, would be greatly reduced. There is a reason these mass killings tend to happen in “gun-free zones”. However twisted the minds of these killers may be, they never seem to target areas where they might encounter armed resistance. And yes, it is true that a truly deranged person might attempt to shoot up, or attack a school in some other way. In that case, who do you want in place to stop them? Someone asking for ID or a highly trained warrior who will not hesitate to terminate the threat?

Yes, I know, I can hear it now. Some Liberal will ask where the money would come from to pay for this. I would answer FIND the money. Maybe by using some of the money we waste so freely now? Further I recognize that such a plan will not happen. It just makes too much sense. And common sense is an endangered species it seems Yes, I know Liberals will cringe at the prospect or armed security. Liberals hate guns, they see them as the problem, not as a tool that can as easily prevent tragedy as it can be used to commit an act of evil. Liberals do not get that and most never will, I do not care about them. Let them wallow in their ignorance. I care about protecting our kids.

So there it is, a fairly simple plan to secure our schools. Perhaps we can present such a plan to our Congressmen, and Senators? Both on the federal and state level? Who knows, we might just be able to push some rational ideas into their heads.

I just could not write about anything today

December 14, 2012

For several reasons.

Too angry at our education system that blows through money like crazy, but cannot pay to have proper armed security in our schools.

Too angry at those who could not wait to use this unspeakable tragedy as political fodder.

Too enraged that such evil exists.

Too angry that so many will refuse to lay the blame where it belongs.

Too sad for those poor babies, and their families. Their lives are devastated beyond repair.

Too angry that some other psycho bastard will be “inspired” by this, and too scared that once again, no one will be there to stop them because we are too PC to actually take the needed steps to prevent their evil act.

Too, too many damned things today. Dear Lord why, why?

How in the Hell does this doddering fool get elected?

December 13, 2012

Weasel Zippers has video of Rep Hank Johnson apologizing for using the “M-Word” that word being midget. Watch it, or if you feel too much pain from listening to this imbecile, click the link for the transcript

Who votes for this man? Seriously? Who votes for a man this stupid? He will not say midget, but saying abnormally small people is acceptable? Yeah, because that is far more sensitive. Honestly, this sounds like a SNL sketch. Of course, Johnson has a history of being incredibly stupid

Racial Obsession Syndrome strikes ESPN talking head

December 13, 2012

Rob Parker, who apparently thinks he is the sole judge of how “Black” Black people really are made some asinine comments today on ESPN. The comments he made, questioning Redskins QB Robert Griffin lll’s “blackness” are despicable, racist, and expose a major problem within the Black community. The idea that Griffin is not “really Black” because he does not wish to be defined by his skin color? Really? Or that he is not Black because he has a White fiance? Or that, GASP, he might be a, dare I say it, a Republican? What kind of bigot spouts such nonsense?

ESPNNewYork.com columnist Rob Parker reacted to Washington Redskins starting quarterback Robert Griffin III’s comment in USA Today that he won’t be defined by his race. An upset Parker responded by asking if Griffin was “a brother, or is he a cornball brother?” and questioning both his reported Republicanism and his decision to become engaged to a white woman.

“I am an African-American in America,” Griffin told USA Today. “That will never change. But I don’t have to be defined by that. … We always try to find similarities in life, no matter what it is so they’re going to try to put you in a box with other African-American quarterbacks — Vick, Newton, Randall Cunningham, Warren Moon … That’s the goal. Just to go out and not try to prove anybody wrong but just let your talents speak for themselves.”

What is wrong with that statement? Seriously? The man is a good QB, won the Heisman, and by all accounts is a great guy. Humble, talented, and classy, and NOT obsessed with his skin color! But Parker cannot stand the fact that RG3 might not conform to Parker;s definition of what Black means!

“Time and time we keep hearing this, so it just makes me wonder deeper about him,” Parker said Thursday. “And I’ve talked to some people down in Washington D.C., and … my question, which is just a straight, honest question, is he a brother, or is he a cornball brother?”

Parker explained his definition of a “cornball brother.”

“OK, he’s black, he kinda does his thing,” he said of Griffin, “but he’s not really down with the cause. He’s not one of us. He’s kind of black, but he’s not really, like, the guy you want to hang out with because he’s off to something else.”

Parker added that the ethnicity of Griffin’s fiancée and unconfirmed rumors about his right-of-center politics were also red flags.

“I want to find out about him. I don’t know, because I keep hearing these things,” Parker said. “We all know he has a white fiancée. And there was all this talk about how he’s Republican. There’s no information at all. I’m just trying to dig deeper into why he has an issue, because we did find out with Tiger Woods — Tiger Woods was like, ‘I don’t want to — I got black skin, but don’t call me black.’”

Oh please! Red flags? Dating someone who is not Black, or being a Republican raises red flags in Parker’s mind? Odd, I would bet that Parker would gladly applaud MLK. So why not embrace MLK’s message? You know about not judging skin color but judging character? Sorry, but I get so tired of this identity politics game. Let people be people! But, arrogant, race-obsessed buffoons like Rob Parker are not capable of that To these miscreants, Blacks MUST be Democrat, MUST date only Black people, and MUST, MUST, MUST be as wrapped up in their skin color as nitwits like Parker are or they are not “really Black”! Bullshit!

Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson (I) Imbecile embarrasses herself on Cavuto

December 13, 2012

Johnson is my Representative, and a crook, who the morons that live in my district reelected even though she had just been exposed as a crook. Here on Cavuto, she can’t even answer a simple question. One big issue today is that politicians cannot give a simple, principled answer anymore. I guess they prefer looking like stammering, double-talking fools, to actually taking a stand!By the way, Cavuto should have not apologized.
