CEC’s Getting a Brand New Website!
As we transition to our new site, we will not have any services available at www.cec.sped.org for approximately 24 hours, beginning on Monday, Dec. 17 at 12 p.m. ET. We thank you for your patience and hope that you will check back with us and enjoy the new features we will continue to roll out during the beginning of 2013.
If you need immediate assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact CEC at 888-232-7733.
CEC shares the nation’s grief over the lives lost today in a Connecticut elementary school. Our thoughts are with the families of everyone involved and our fellow educators.
As we all try to cope with this tragedy, we would like to share an excellent tool created by our friends at the National Education Association (NEA) designed for use during this type of tragedy, providing advice to educators about how to talk about these incidents with kids in an age-appropriate way. Our friends at the National PTA have similar resources to assist students, families, schools and PTAs in coping with school violence. Download the NEA guide. Download the PTA resources.
