A story worthy of a Wikipedia entry?
Dr. Edwin Carman was a dentist in Freeport, Long Island, N.Y. On 24(?) June 1914, a patient, Mrs. Louise Bailey was shot and killed in his waiting room. The shot was fired through a window. Carman's wife Florence Conklin Carman was later tried for murder. It seems like the trial ended in a hung jury,
and I can't find any news that she was retriedand she was retried in 1915. Many many news hits on Google News for "carman" in the 1914-15 range though, if someone wants to sift through them.Wystan (19 months ago | reply)
