I love old photographs of El Paso. El Paso has such a rich history and I am also facinated by the geology of the El Paso area. Thank you for posting this on Flickr.

Esta fotografía fue tomada del lado mexicano, en Ciudad Juárez, no en el Paso. Se alcanza a ver la vía del tren y un vagón; estas se encuentran al sur del Río Bravo. En la esquina inferior derecha se ve el número 2195-1 en imagen de espejo y "de cabeza". Este número corresponde a una serie cuya fecha puede corresponder al 26, y seguramente de marzo de 1911. El 29 de marzo las fuerzas maderistas se repliegan a la Hacienda de Bustillo despues de haber sido repelidos por el General Navarro. Ver fotos 2195-4 al 2195 -11 y la titulada "Madero, Hacienda Bustillo" de esta colección.

El 14 de febrero de 1911 Madero cruzó la frontera con 100 voluntarios aproximadamente, de los cuales la mitad eran estadunidenses. Entre los extrangeros que lo acompañaban iba Guisepe Garibaldi, militar en quien más confiaba (F. Katz). ¿Es posible que esta foto hable de eso y haya sido tomada alrededor de esa fecha?
