Your window on the real-time web!
Twitscoop is a real-time visualisation tool which enables users to "Mine the thought stream" provided by Twitter. Our algorithm cuts every English non-spam tweets into pieces ("tags"), and ranks them by how frequently they are used versus normal usage. Our web application detects growing trends in real-time, identifies breaking news (earthquakes, plane crashes, political events, new tech products etc.) and monitors specific keywords along with custom graphs that display the activity for any given word on twitter. Twitscoop can essentially be described as your real-time web's monitor.
You can tweet from twitscoop!
Twitscoop is not only a visualisation tool to discover what's buzzing right now, it's also a fully featured twitter web client. In fact, our goal is to become the best online twitter client out there. So you can do everything you would be doing on twitter itself, sometimes even more ;-)
Buzzing right now
On the right hand-side of our homepage, we display in real-time the words which are buzzing right now on twitter. This tag-cloud is updated automagically, with tags continuously appearing, growing, shrinking and finally vanishing. When you hover over a tag, a tooltip will display the latest related tweets. Just click on any tag to open a search tab displaying all the related tweets along with a custom graph showing the tag's activity over the past few hours or days.
Hot trends
On the left hand-side of our homepage, we display the trends detected by our algorithm. This is especially usefull to watch when you want to make sure you didn't miss anything important on twitter over the past few hours. You can also browse through the hot trend's history. Clicking on any hot trend will open a tab with a snapshot of the corresponding search results. You can even be automatically notified when twitscoop discovers a new hot trend, by simply following @twitscooptrends.
Search feature
You can search for a specific tag, conversation, topic or username by entering it into the search box on the left hand-side of the homepage. We will display the corresponding tweets and activity graph in a dedicated search tab. Search results refresh automatically.
