Since its inception in 2005, Hey, Hot Shot! has provided one hundred and fifty photographers from all over the world with unrivaled exposure, support and recognition. One part of Jen Bekman Projects—which also includes Jen Bekman Gallery and 20x200—Hey, Hot Shot! provides an ongoing platform for photographers at all stages of their career, with all three venues working collaboratively to provide unparalleled opportunities. Each year, one talented image maker will receive a $10,000 honorarium, in addition to the hallmark awards we offer.

Jen Bekman Projects will select one of 2012's ten Hot Shots for the Grand Prize. The grand prize recipient will be awarded:
+ A $10,000 honorarium + A solo exhibition at Jen Bekman Gallery + Representation from Jen Bekman Gallery for two years
Our panel will select five photographers, twice per year, as the 2012 Hot Shots. Each photographer is awarded:
+ A $500 honorarium
+ Participation in the 2012 Hot Shot Exhibition at Jen Bekman Gallery
+ The opportunity to release a print edition on 20x200
All entrants are reviewed for:
+ Participation in 20x200
+ Weekly Contender posts, which are shared with our broad photography community via Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Flickr
A diverse panel of photography professionals—including founder Jen Bekman, Chronicle Books chairman and CEO Nion McEvoy, TIME Deputy Photo Editor Paul Moakley and Assistant Director of Fraenkel Gallery (San Francisco) and co-founder of Radius Books Darius Himes—reviews each and every entry in selecting the Hot Shots.
