We are looking for a Government Partnerships Manager – StoryWeaver (Odisha)
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about education as a cause, is well-versed with the landscape of the education sector in Odisha and has past proven experience working with state government machinery.

An ideal candidate should possess experience working alongside the bureaucracy and education department and possess know-how about the process of curriculum integration in the state. Teach For India Fellows, Gandhi Fellows, Samagra Shiksha consultants, Aspirational District fellows among others will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities:

I. New Partnerships and Key Account Management:

• Work towards forging a strategic relationship with key officials of the state education department like Principal Secretary, Commissioner of Public Instruction, State Project Director among others
• Identify and establish relations with advocacy groups and NGOs with whom partnerships can lead to enhanced impact in the state
• Design and execute large scale campaigns in the state and problem solve implementation issues or impediments in government partnership-building exercise
• Analyse and interpret platform and partner data from the platform to devise and develop the strategy for the vertical and provide content resources/training/support tailored to specific needs of partners
• Represent StoryWeaver at relevant platforms and events

II. Content Curation and/or Development:

• Lead the efforts in integration of StoryWeaver content in state government textbooks through QR code inclusion and listing of its content on state government resource portals like Diksha, OERP among others
• Lead content localisation efforts in Odia and other prominent languages of the state
• Liaise with educational organisations, governmental partners, and teachers on curating content based on state curriculum and structured frameworks

III. Others:

• Undertake project management tasks such as monitoring project schedules and budgets, preparing progress reports, and liaising with key stakeholders
• Provide information, feedback, and support to the internal product team for the development of new product offerings
• Create documentation for the various processes under the Partnerships function and to help with research and documentation for impact assessment
• Coordinate with external subject matter experts to curate and/or develop curriculum-based offerings for existing and prospective partners

Required skills and experiences:

• 3+ years of work experience in Education, Outreach, Partnerships, or related areas
• Direct experience working with government agencies
• Exceptional communication and project-management/organisational skills
• Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team

Key Responsibilities:

Today, Pratham Books creates books suited to both print and digital mediums in multiple languages. We are looking for a Studio Manager you will be driving the management of a busy studio that can change from a quiet environment to one full of freelancers and multiple projects all running at the same time. Your job will be to manage the studio and production schedules as well as the day to day administrative responsibilities of running the studio of a reputed publishing house.

This is a job that requires attention to detail, organisation and time management. Clear communication and multitasking skills are a must. We require an individual who is motivated, knows how to manage the requirements of book production that can require multiple cycles of reviews and adaptations for different platforms. Ability to prioritize workload to manage the studio schedule within the budgetary requirements.

You will work closely with the Editorial team to ensure timely delivery of all aspects of production for print and digital books –  from layouts to pagination, optimizing image quality and proofreading to readying artworks, uploading digital books and QC (quality checking).

Pratham Books currently has multiple projects which are supported by various donors, for content development and distribution of libraries. The role would involve the following: – managing the various library grants end-to-end, from call outs to beneficiaries, identification of beneficiaries, supporting the distribution, and collating feedback & documentation for each grant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Anchor distribution of books and libraries for grant-based commitments
• Setting up and following a set timeline for the grant distribution starting with identifying new and unique channels for call outs ending with feedback and visits of our library sites.
• Streamline processes to identify beneficiaries of classroom libraries, aligned with the requirements of the donors.
• Maintain a current and usable database of applicants
• Coordinate with warehouse and CRM teams to ensure timely dispatch of the libraries.

An ERP Manager must have the ability to exercise overall day-to-day control of projects and the resources of the program, balancing the needs for program success with the skills and capabilities of the staff. The ERP Manager is responsible for the development of an effective planning process, for the creation of an integrated project schedule that encompasses all aspects for the ERP Program and for the actual execution in conformance to plans and the continuing update and adjustment of plans and execution to fit changing circumstances.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develops, plans, and implements the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
• Determines scope of the project.

• Generates MIS /dashboards from ERP for top management on periodic basis

Job Description

Today, Pratham Books creates books suited to both print and digital mediums in multiple languages. We are looking for an Assistant Art Director to help us create visually appealing picture books with a strong understanding of how each of these mediums work.

As an Assistant Art Director, you will be responsible for the design and production of books created for both print and digital. As most of our titles are migrated to StoryWeaver, we are looking for someone who is tech-savvy and eager to find ways of minimising loss between print and digital book design. This will require you to work closely with our editorial team and external content creators we collaborate with (illustrators, consultant art directors). The candidate needs to have excellent graphic design skills and experience in print production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with freelance illustrators and consultant art-directors to create visually-appealing books keeping in mind print and digital requirements
• Ensure that books are completed within required timelines for both print and digital mediums
• Art direct 10 books a year by working directly with illustrators
• Find innovative ways of reducing losses when a book is adapted from print to digital, or vice versa
• Ensure highest quality of print books
• Work closely with the editorial team to create stories with rich, diverse and nuanced visual narratives
• Bring in expertise of typography, keeping in mind multilingual content

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about education as a cause, is well-versed with the landscape of the education sector in Odisha and has past proven experience working with state government machinery.

An ideal candidate should possess experience working alongside the bureaucracy and education department and possess know-how about the process of curriculum integration in the state. Teach For India Fellows, Gandhi Fellows, Samagra Shiksha consultants, Aspirational District fellows among others will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities:

I. New Partnerships and Key Account Management:

• Work towards forging a strategic relationship with key officials of the state education department like Principal Secretary, Commissioner of Public Instruction, State Project Director among others
• Identify and establish relations with advocacy groups and NGOs with whom partnerships can lead to enhanced impact in the state
• Design and execute large scale campaigns in the state and problem solve implementation issues or impediments in government partnership-building exercise
• Analyse and interpret platform and partner data from the platform to devise and develop the strategy for the vertical and provide content resources/training/support tailored to specific needs of partners
• Represent StoryWeaver at relevant platforms and events

II. Content Curation and/or Development:

• Lead the efforts in integration of StoryWeaver content in state government textbooks through QR code inclusion and listing of its content on state government resource portals like Diksha, OERP among others
• Lead content localisation efforts in Odia and other prominent languages of the state
• Liaise with educational organisations, governmental partners, and teachers on curating content based on state curriculum and structured frameworks

III. Others:

• Undertake project management tasks such as monitoring project schedules and budgets, preparing progress reports, and liaising with key stakeholders
• Provide information, feedback, and support to the internal product team for the development of new product offerings
• Create documentation for the various processes under the Partnerships function and to help with research and documentation for impact assessment
• Coordinate with external subject matter experts to curate and/or develop curriculum-based offerings for existing and prospective partners

We are looking for a Studio Manager you will be driving the management of a busy studio that can change from a quiet environment to one full of freelancers and multiple projects all running at the same time. Your job will be to manage the studio and production schedules as well as the day to day administrative responsibilities of running the studio of a reputed publishing house.

This is a job that requires attention to detail, organisation and time management. Clear communication and multitasking skills are a must. We require an individual who is motivated, knows how to manage the requirements of book production that can require multiple cycles of reviews and adaptations for different platforms. Ability to prioritize workload to manage the studio schedule within the budgetary requirements.

You will work closely with the Editorial team to ensure timely delivery of all aspects of production for print and digital books –  from layouts to pagination, optimizing image quality and proofreading to readying artworks, uploading digital books and QC (quality checking).

• Coordinate with editorial and language groups to create the final files for production of both print and digital formats of our books

Pratham Books currently has multiple projects which are supported by various donors. We are looking to add another member to our fundraising team. The team is responsible for raising funds using various resources and build sustainable relationship with the donors by managing programs that utilize funds donated.

We are looking for a dynamic, passionate person who is high on initiative.  The person will work closely with the Senior Manager-Fundraising and will have to co-ordinate with geographically distributed teams. Frequent travel to differently located donors involved – local and sometimes out of Bangalore

Own and manage critical pieces of the fundraising process, which includes the following:

• • Help plan and strategize and independently execute yearly fundraising goals

As an Assistant Art Director, you will be responsible for the design and production of books created for both print and digital. As most of our titles are migrated to StoryWeaver, we are looking for someone who is tech-savvy and eager to find ways of minimising loss between print and digital book design. This will require you to work closely with our editorial team and external content creators we collaborate with (illustrators, consultant art directors). The candidate needs to have excellent graphic design skills and experience in print production.

• Work with freelance illustrators and consultant art-directors to create visually-appealing books keeping in mind print and digital requirements

The role would involve the following: – managing the various library grants end-to-end, from call outs to beneficiaries, identification of beneficiaries, supporting the distribution, and collating feedback & documentation for each grant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Anchor distribution of books and libraries for grant-based commitments
• Setting up and following a set timeline for the grant distribution starting with identifying new and unique channels for call outs ending with feedback and visits of our library sites.
• Streamline processes to identify beneficiaries of classroom libraries, aligned with the requirements of the donors.
• Maintain a current and usable database of applicants

We are looking for a Communication Manager for Storyweaver

The role involves developing and implementing strategic engagement initiatives by advocating the brand and building relationships across a variety of social networks, as well as being responsible for documentation,  marketing communications and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all the social media handles for StoryWeaver
  • Design and implement social media strategy to align with brand goals
  • Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily across all social media handles ( F/B, Youtube, Instagram, Twitter, Blog etc)
  • Manage and liaison with the Digital Marketing Agency.
  • Using Analytics and other measurement tools to provide reports on metrics, and continually find ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives.
  • Identifying and building lasting relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders from non-profits, authors, illustrators, publishers,  global translator communities, social enterprises, educators, parents, etc
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications
• Responsible for all brand communications  for StoryWeaver
  • Meet with internal stakeholders to determine brand objectives, strategies and yearly marketing calendar. Suggest and implement campaigns/contests/ events to develop brand awareness, increase external stakeholder engagement, promote new features, new content etc
  • Responsible for all communication and content updation on the StoryWeaver website
  • Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner by working closely with cross functional  teams
  • Manage internal communications ( newsletters etc.) and
  • Work closely with the cross functional teams on newsletters, reports, press releases, award and grant applications

Required skills

• 4-8 years of experience in marketing and social media management.

Nice to have but not mandatory:

• Previous experience in Social Media / Communications/ Public Relations

Today, Pratham Books creates books suited to both print and digital mediums in multiple languages. We are looking for an Assistant Art Director to help us create visually appealing picture books with a strong understanding of how each of these mediums work.

As an Assistant Art Director, you will be responsible for the design and production of books created for both print and digital. As most of our titles are migrated to StoryWeaver, we are looking for someone who is tech-savvy and eager to find ways of minimising loss between print and digital book design. This will require you to work closely with our editorial team and external content creators we collaborate with (illustrators, consultant art directors). The candidate needs to have excellent graphic design skills and experience in print production.

• Work with freelance illustrators and consultant art-directors to create visually-appealing books keeping in mind print and digital requirements

• Ensure that books are completed within required timelines for both print and digital mediums
• Art direct 10 books a year by working directly with illustrators
• Find innovative ways of reducing losses when a book is adapted from print to digital, or vice versa
• Ensure highest quality of print books
• Work closely with the editorial team to create stories with rich, diverse and nuanced visual narratives
• Bring in expertise of typography, keeping in mind multilingual content

Required skills

• 4-5 years of experience in Graphic Design
• Strong understanding of print production and typography
• Strong communication skills
• Expertise in Photoshop, InDesign
• Ability to multi-task

An ERP Manager must have the ability to exercise overall day-to-day control of projects and the resources of the program, balancing the needs for program success with the skills and capabilities of the staff. He should also be a good communicator and must interact regularly and comfortably across various departments — from individual to the ERP Management Team level.

The ERP Manager is responsible for the development of an effective planning process, for the creation of an integrated project schedule that encompasses all aspects for the ERP Program and for the actual execution in conformance to plans and the continuing update and adjustment of plans and execution to fit changing circumstances.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develops, plans, and implements the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
• Determines scope of the project.
• Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities and monitors progress for the ERP system.
• Evaluates and recommends changes to current and future ERP system requirements to meet organizational needs.
• Generates MIS /dashboards from ERP for top management on periodic basis
• Leads the implementation of new organizational processes aligned with ERP configuration.

Required skills

• BE/B.Tech or MCA in Computer Science
• 3-5 years of experience as an individual contributor
• Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
