Ian Somerhalder turns 33 this week, and what better way to celebrate his birthday than to ogle some of his hottest looks from The Vampire Diaries? Somerhalder has been making bad look good for four seasons, and a big part of his allure is his signature smolder. With that in mind, we've put together a tribute to Damon's best smolders — and it's far from monotonous, since he has a smolder for every occasion.

Glee-ful Highlights From Episode "Swan Song"

Updated Dec 7 2012 - 6:45am · Posted by · 0 comments

Oh, holy night, indeed! This week's Glee brings a host of developments: Rachel gives the performance that will define her career at NYADA, Kurt gets a chance to fight for his place alongside her at the school of his dreams, and the glee club hits a rough patch in the wake of Marley's meltdown on stage at Sectionals. Big bad Sue is back in her original form, taking over the club's room and forcing all the glee clubbers to find new extracurricular activities. I haven't even gotten into the budding blond romance among our McKinley High students! (I'll give you a hint: it involves a Cheerio and a gentleman who keeps a ChapStick caddy in his locker.)

Though "Swan Song" is a little light on tracks, the ones it does feature are inspired choices. We even get a hint at the upcoming holiday episode with a spirited rendition of "O Holy Night" from Rachel. So joyous are this week's moments, so goose-bump-inducing the episode's tunes, I may have actually shed a tear. Let's go over the highlights and check out a playlist with all the songs from the episode (minus "Something Stupid" by Frank & Nancy Sinatra, as it's not available on Spotify) after the jump.

The Vampire Diaries "We'll Always Have Bourbon Street": The Good, the Bad, and the Bloody

Updated Dec 7 2012 - 6:30am · Posted by · 0 comments

On this week's episode of The Vampire Diaries, we follow up last week's superhot, long-time-coming hookup of Elena and Damon with the fallout of the sire bond. It's not all bad news, though, and the little stroll down memory lane that we take into 1942 New Orleans for answers isn't so bad either. It's also fun to see guest star Arielle Kebbel back as Stefan's BFF Lexi.

While we're learning about the ups and downs of the vampire sire, we do get a little sweetness from the Damon and Elena coupling, and Tyler actually gets a nice little victory among the hybrids. But like my favorite new onscreen couple, it's time to get down and dirty and break down this week's episode — the good, the bad, and the bloody. Check it out after the jump.

Updated Dec 7 2012 - 3:05am · Posted by · 0 comments

It's been another year filled with infectious tunes that we couldn't escape no matter how hard we tried. That's right, I'm talking about the pop albums that invaded radios, parties, and Spotify accounts across the world in 2012. Taylor Swift churned out another collection of catchy hits with Red, while No Doubt came back on the scene with its first album in over a decade. There's also no denying the talent of newcomers like Carly Rae Jepsen and fun., but tell us — which pop album is the best of 2012?
