The Economic Development Corporation of Jefferson County (EDC) is the lead professional business assistance organization in Jefferson County, Missouri.  The EDC is a not-for-profit, public corporation providing a full range of services to help meet growing business' needs in the County.  The EDC serves as the umbrella agency for the Industrial Development Authority of Jefferson County (IDA), which issues Industrial Revenue Bonds for the County; the Jefferson County Port Authority; and the contracted administrator for the Jefferson County Entitlement Programs.

We maintain a storehouse of information designed to help your business grow and expand.  The EDC and its professional staff coordinate with County and local officials, business leaders, bankers and an extended network of economic resources to meet the needs of its clients.

For its residents, Jefferson County and its numerous municipalities offer ample opportunities to live, work and play in one of the fastest growing Counties in the Greater St. Louis Metropolitan Region.  Conveniently located just a short 20 minutes south of St. Louis, Jefferson County offers endless entertainment and recreational opportunities both within or adjacent to the County.  Some of these activities include world class theaters; various recreational opportunities include biking, hiking, or numerous nature trails. The Economic Development Corporation of Jefferson County (EDC) provides a variety of services including development, attraction, expansion, and retention to the business community of Jefferson County.  In addition, the EDC provides direct professional and technical assistance to small business within our region. The EDC works closely with not only the County government, but with all municipalities located within the boundaries of Jefferson County.

I-55 South to the Festus exit (Highway A)

Right on Highway A West (towards Hillsboro) to Highway 21 South

Left on Highway 21 South (towards Potosi) to Highway B

Right on Highway B approximately 1/2 mile to 5217 Highway B 

(our office is located next door to the County Highway Department building) 

      * Highway 21 is also known as Tesson Ferry Rd when in South County

      * Handicap access and additional parking is located behind our building
