Each month the Current Employment Statistics (CES) program surveys about 141,000 businesses and government agencies, representing approximately 486,000 individual worksites, in order to provide detailed industry data on employment, hours, and earnings of workers on nonfarm payrolls.
Next Releases:
- The Employment Situation for November 2012 is scheduled to be released on December 7, 2012, at 8:30 A.M. Eastern Time.
- Real Earnings for November 2012 is scheduled to be released on December 14, 2012, at 8:30 A.M. Eastern Time.

Total nonfarm payroll employment increased by 171,000 in October, and
the unemployment rate was essentially unchanged at 7.9 percent.
Employment rose in professional and business services, health care,
and retail trade.
