Comedian Katt Williams arrested in Seattle

Comedian Katt Williams was arrested in Seattle after a bar fight on Sunday afternoon.

Officers were called to the World Sports Grille around 2:30 p.m. to respond to a dispute between Williams and another patron at the bar. According to the Seattle Police Dept.’s website, “Williams exchanged words with patrons in the bar, brandished a pool cue at a bar manager and refused to leave the business.” He then followed a family into the street, flicked a cigarette at a woman as she entered their car, and threw a rock at the vehicle. Officers arrived and arrested Williams, 41, who struggled as he was detained. He was booked into King County Jail for investigation of assault, harassment, and obstruction of justice.

A rep for Williams did not immediately return a request for comment.

This incident is the latest in a slew of recent altercations involving the stand-up comedian. In November, two of his performances, in Denver and Oakland, ended abruptly when Williams confronted hecklers in the audience; on Nov. 15 in Oakland, he was arrested for allegedly beating an 18-year-0ld passenger aboard his tour bus. Last Sunday, he led police on a chase through downtown Sacramento aboard a three-wheeled motorcycle and, after evading them, was caught on tape slapping a Target employee. Then, on Friday, police officers were called to his Seattle performance when several fans reported that he assaulted them after the show — Williams denied the claim, and no arrests were made.

Williams is known for his role in Friday After Next and has appeared in videos with Nick Cannon, E-40, Ludacris, Outkast, and others.
