AMSR-E Instrument Failure
to (End Date Not Provided)
As of 06:58 UTC on 04 October 2011, the AMSR-E instrument on board the Aqua satellite stopped producing data due to a problem with the rotation of its antenna. NASA is currently working with the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) to assess the condition of the AMSR-E instrument and consider future steps. For more information, please contact NSIDC User Services at nsidc@nsidc.org..

Error Page may be Encountered
to (End Date Not Provided)
When ordering granules from a few of NSIDC's available data sets, please note that, due to an indexing issue which is currently being worked on, some data set search results over-report the number of granules available for ordering. If your order includes an over-reported granule, after clicking on the "order" button at the bottom of the Shopping Cart page, you will encounter an error page claiming:
"The page you were looking for doesn't exist.
You may have mistyped the address or the page may have moved."
Data sets where this may be encountered are IODMS1B (2012_AN), ILATM2 (2009_AN), MOD29, MOD29P1D, MOD29P1N & MOD10_L2.

Upcoming Features
An overview of features available in future versions of Reverb.
Step 1: Select Search Criteria
Select search criteria in this section and in the left-side bar to filter datasets based on the following criteria: search terms, spatial, temporal, platforms & instruments, campaigns, processing levels, and science keywords. As filters are chosen, the dataset listing will be modified accordingly. Selected criteria will be utilized during a subsequent granule search, if one is performed.
Upload a single ESRI shape file (*.shp. Note that .dbf and .shx files are not required) and reverb will render the first geometry record in that file as a point or polygon (Note that only point, polygon and multi-polygon are supported).
Step 2: Select Datasets
Make a dataset selection by clicking the check box next to each dataset you would like to search. Datasets without a checkbox have only dataset-level metadata. Click the shopping cart icon next to the dataset to place the dataset into the shopping cart where you may then download or invoke a service on the dataset itself. Click the gear icon to next to the dataset to view services associated with the dataset.
Step 3: Discover Granules
Press the "Search for Granules" button to perform a granule search according to the search criteria you have selected. Press the "Search for Granules by ID" button to search for granules by a known listing of Granule UR or Local Granule ID values.
