H.Con.Res. 211 is expected to be considered on the floor of the House on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, under a motion to suspend the rules, requiring a two-thirds vote for passage. The legislation was introduced by Rep. George Miller (D-CA) on November 11, 2009.

H.Con.Res. 211 would resolve That Congress:
• "Recognizes the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the East Bay Regional Park District; and
• "Honors the board members, general managers, and East Bay Regional Park District staff who have dutifully fulfilled the mission of protecting open space and providing outdoor recreation opportunities for generations of families in the East Bay."

According to the resolution's findings, November 6, 2009, will mark the 75th anniversary of the historic passage of a ballot measure to create the East Bay Regional Park District in California's San Francisco Bay Area during the height of the Depression.
