About the Partnership
Rutgers Cooperative Extension is a partnership of three levels of government:
- County - Passaic County Board of Chosen Freeholders
- State - Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey
- Federal - United States Department of Agriculture
The partnership was established by the Smith-Lever Act in 1914. Rutgers Cooperative Extension is a unit of the
Rutgers New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station.
