Improvement Authority
Mission Statement
To provide services and programs that improve the quality of life and to develop and provide financing for new and innovative programs that benefit the residents of Passaic County.
 
Creation & Purpose
Passaic County Improvement Authority (PCIA) was created in December 2002 by the Chosen Board of Freeholders: the “purposes and powers of a county improvement authority may be used to enhance the financial soundness of the county and the health, safety and welfare, and the quality of life of the residents of Passaic County through development and redevelopment of public facilities in the county and the undertaking of projects through the county improvement authority."

The PCIA can act as a partner in economic development and provide financial assistance to local governments, school districts, nonprofit corporations, and private entities.
