Our mission

The Superintendent of Elections and Commissioner of Registration for Passaic County is a subdivision of the State of New Jersey Division of Elections. The Superintendent of Elections and Commissioner of Registration is responsible for processing voter Registration applications, maintaining voter records and voter history. The Office prepares and certifies voting machines for Elections and also prepares and mails Sample Ballots prior to each Election. In addition, the Office receives Provisional Ballots and is responsible for the security and research of Provisional Ballot Affirmation Statements after each Election, to prepare them for subsequent opening and counting by the Board of Elections, at 401 Grand Street.
