Wow! Truly inspiring. Thanks so much for sharing. Yes, I do remember many of those TV show, though I'd have to say most were in reruns when I saw them.

I see a spiritual connection here. And not just because "thief" and "song" connected with the 2 verses I had just scribbled a couple of minutes ago. Have a great day and keep sharing your poetry! Blessings to you as always!

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song. Psalm 28:7 (NIV)

Shout for joy, O heavens; rejoice, O earth; burst into song, O mountains! For the Lord comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones. But Zion said, "The Lord has forsaken me, the Lord has forgotten me." "Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! Isaiah 49:13-15 (NIV)

Thanks, Rose. This is one of my favorite poems. A little geeky, but I'm a nerd at heart.

You're scribble, quoting Romans 8:26, in part, ..."that we do not know what we ought to pray for..." intrigued me. I think we should pray for that which will bring us closer to what our Creator intended for us: strength of intellect, strength of feeling, strength of spirit, strength of body, and the wisdom never to deny who and what we are. That way, we benefit ourselves--and, ultimately--others
