    Members of the Fort McPherson and Fort Gillem community were given an opportunity to take a part of both installations with them during the "cash and carry" sale held Jan. 17 through 19. The sale, which took place at the Fort Gillem Getaway club, allowed individuals to purchase non-appropriated fund items housed in the building, as well as those in adjoining Taylor Suites. The sale was open to authorized ID card holders (active duty military, Civilian employees, retirees and Family members) on the first day, with the general community invited on the second and third.

    The Army and Air Force Exchange Service has teamed up with the U.S. Army Garrison Red Cloud's Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Cable TV Office to make free Wi-Fi available to customers using four Laundromats in Warrior Country. Wi-Fi is available in Bldg. 3004 at Camp Casey, Bldg. 3814 at Camp Hovey, Bldg. 8 at Camp Red Cloud and Bldg. 2367 at Camp Stanley. The Cable TV Office installed the drop and the Exchange is paying for the service.

    FORT HUACHCUA, Ariz. -- Last week the Fort Huachuca Scout ran an article in which Lt. Gen Rick Lynch, commander, Installation Management Command, stressed the importance of resiliency; the ability to realize personal growth and development in the face of challenging situations. IMCOM civilians are now encouraged to take advantage of a free tool that develops resiliency; the President's Challenge, and even earn a presidential award for doing so. The President's Challenge is part of the newly launched Civilian Wellness Program, and supports IMCOM's Command Policy #17, the Civilian Wellness Policy.

    "A Soldier's Christmas" will be performed at the Wallace Theatre on Fort Belvoir at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 16, 17, and 18, and 2 p.m. December 18 & 19. Tickets are free. The high-energy 60-minute musical includes a cast of U.S. Army Soldier Show alumni who will perform traditional Christmas carols as well as modern Christmas songs. The storyline focuses on the experience of Soldiers and their Families during the holiday season, but combines singing, dancing and humor with whimsical stage settings to create a joyous celebration of Christmas and the fun it brings.
