Rakkasans strengthen relationship with steel

A soldier with the Afghanistan National Army's 4th Kandak, 1st Infantry Brigade, 203rd Afghan Army Corps, adjusts the sights on his Russian made D-30 122mm howitzer as U.S. Army Master Sgt. Liviu Ivan, who hails from Gaithersburg, Md., and a D-30 howitzer subject matter expert with 3rd Battalion, 320th Field Artillery Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team “Rakkasans," 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), watches over to ensure the soldiers sights it in correctly during a joint training live-fire exercise at Camp Clark, Oct. 13, 2012. Rakkasans from 3-320th FA participated in a joint training exercise with the ANA helping them become more proficient with artillery standard order of procedures while strengthening their partnership between each other. It is this type of partnership that is enabling the Afghan army to take the lead.
