The most popular attractions in Florida for families are unquestionably in or near Orlando, including the world famous Disney World. While in Orlando, you may also wish to visit Universal Studios, or the fabulous aquarium complex that is Sea World. Water sports enthusiasts of all kinds are sure to find their heart’s desire in Florida. Fishermen in particular are likely to wish to keep often unorthodox hours. Choosing a holiday rental in the Florida Keys, Clearwater, or even Sarasota will grant access to a whole host of top fishing experiences, both from the shore and from charter boats. Other water sports such as jet-skiing, sailing and windsurfing are widely available around Florida’s coastal areas.
Golfing in Florida
Although Florida is noted for its extremely flat terrain, it is still home to a wide variety of golf courses, many of which are open to the public and capable of testing, intriguing and pleasing the most experienced of golf enthusiasts. The good news is that many of the top courses are within easy reach of other attractions, which will appeal to the rest of the family.
A holiday in Florida need not necessarily be about visiting the top attractions, or participating in the various sporting activities. It may simply be about lying about on one of the numerous, beautiful beaches, or enjoying the associated activities. Fort Lauderdale and Panama City beaches are extremely beautiful and although likely to be busier, have plenty to keep the family otherwise amused. Panama City is famed for its amusement parks, while Fort Lauderdale boasts the Science and Discovery Museum and the Flamingo Gardens. Fort Walton and Fernandina beaches offer similar beauty but are likely to be much quieter and watching the dolphins just offshore, or exploring nature on the surrounding trails, appeals to a great many people simply looking to get a break away from the bustle of normal day to day life.
