King & Bear and Slammer & Squire

The King & Bear and the Slammer & Squire at the World Golf Village are championship courses designed to offer both enjoyment and challenge in a resort setting. Both courses feature design collaborations by World Golf Hall of Fame members, each course has five sets of tees and tournament-ready course conditions year-round.

As testimony to the quality of play, the courses have hosted the Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf, a Champions Tour event; Shell’s Wonderful World of Golf; The Handa Cup, a Solheim Cup-style event on the LPGA’s Legends Tour; as well as other nationally televised events.
Named one of Golf for Women's Top 50 Courses for Women and Top 100 Resort Golf Courses in United States according to Golfweek magazine, the 7,279-yard course features loblolly pines and open meadows on the front nine and 200-year-old live oaks on the back nine. Palmer and Nicklaus incorporated indigenous coquina rock into waste bunkers, cart paths and as bulkheads for the many lakes on the course, which come into play on 16 of the 18 holes. The course’s rating is 75.2 and its slope is 141. Read Less
