Plaza Beach Resort is a great resort for anyone. It is a low-key, charming beach resort. The resort is secluded by two large condos on each side, so the beach in front of the resort is as private as it gets. The only people on the beach were the other guest of the hotel, and there were very few because the hotel is a small resort. If you are looking for a large scale resort with valet parking, concierge, room service, than it is not your place. But if you are looking for a place were you can just getaway from everything and go to a traditional smaller hotel were the beach is only steps away from your room and you feel like it’s your beach and a few other peoples than the Plaza Beach Resort is you place. There are no large crowds, no beach bar, no drunks running down the hallways, just you, the beach and the beautiful sunsets. The rooms are also nice with all the amenities of home, like a full kitchen, big 32â€TV, DVD player, sofa, etc.. The staff was great and everything was in walking distance. We had a PERFECT vacation at the Plaza Beach Hotel, and I think you will to. That’s my review and I hope it helps you

This being our first time to the St Pete area we didn’t know where to stay. There were hundreds of hotel options and hundreds of reviews. We ended up choosing the Plaza Beach Resort on St Pete Beach because the rate was great and we wanted a smaller more private beachfront resort. I am happy to report that the Plaza Beach Resort did not disappoint, everything on their website was accurate and the rooms were very well maintained. The location could not be any better either, everything is really in walking distance or just across the street in the shopping center. The beach has powder white sand that you can walk for miles, and plenty of beach bars. We will definitely be back to the Plaza Beach Resort and to the west coast of Florida, for the last six years we have always gone to Daytona or Fort Lauderdale, but now we found a new area we are ready to explore. See you there.

I had my uncle and his family coming to visit from Sweden, and since they couldn't stay in my dorm I started looking for hotels on the beach. This hotel is perfect for a cozy place right on the beach for people from cold weather places. I actually stayed there one night with my uncle's family (wife and 2 small kids) and we had plenty of room. Just walk out your door and you're right on the beach with soft sand and beautiful sunsets every night. Even though it was january the kids just jumped in the water and had a blast. But the best part is the owners. I met them a month in advance and they offered us a small discount for choosing their hotel. I love "mom 'n pop" places because you have direct access to the owners, and these people were extremely nice and competent. I took my family sight seeing and even went to places I haven't gone to yet, like the Big Cat Rescue with all the lions and tigers. My uncle's family really enjoyed their stay here. I'm glad I picked this spot, especially for the price and location, and I would definitely recommend it.

We stayed at the Plaza Beach Hotel on St Pete Beach from July.28 -Aug.4.2008. This was probably one of our top three Best Vacations ever, everyone had some much fun and nobody wanted to leave. This was the first time we stayed on the west coast of Florida, normally our family stays in Daytona Beach. We chose Plaza Beach Resort because we were looking for a small beach resort with a good location to activities and restaurants. We were not disappointed. Plaza Beach is located next to a shopping center with a grocery store, lots of shopping and many restaurants. The rooms are spacious and clean, our room was a Delluxe Efficiency and the setup is a large apartment room with a kitchen, two beds and a sleeper sofa. You also have a large T.V and free DVD’s in the office. Location was perfect with the property being directly on the beach which we really enjoyed. However we did a lot of sightseeing: We visit Fort DeSoto state park, took the ferry Egmont Key island, the Salvador Dali museum, the downtown Pier, Baywalk Shopping, Johns Pass Fishing Village, we even went to two baseball games to watch the TampaBay Rays beat the Detroit Tigers. There’s was so much to do but as always never enough time. We hope to come back to St Pete Beach next year and we will definitely stay at the Plaza Beach Resort.
