World Golf Village is home to two championship golf courses, The King & Bear and The Slammer & Squire, designed to offer both enjoyment and challenge in a resort setting. With design collaborations by four World Golf Hall of Fame members, each course has five sets of tees and tournament-ready course conditions year-round.

King & Bear, named respectively for its co-designers Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus, opened in 2000 with a ceremonial exhibition between its namesakes. King & Bear is the first-and-only design collaboration between these two World Golf Hall of Fame members. The 7,279-yard course features loblolly pines and open meadows on the front nine and 200-year-old live oaks on the back nine. Palmer and Nicklaus incorporated indigenous coquina rock into waste bunkers, cart paths and as bulkheads for the many lakes on the course, which come into play on 16 of the 18 holes.

Slammer & Squire was the first golf course to open at World Golf Village in 1998. With its clubhouse just yards from the World Golf Hall of Fame and several holes that sit in the Hall of Fame’s shadow, Slammer & Squire meanders naturally through native flatwoods and hardwood hammocks and borders wetland preserves and wildlife habitat. The 6,939-yard course, designed by Bobby Weed, is nestled into the existing surroundings so as not to disturb the area's pristine natural setting.

Surrounding the golf courses at World Golf Village are additional amenities including the World Golf Hall of Fame, & IMAX Theater, the PGA TOUR Golf Academy, Murray Bros. Caddyshack restaurant and much more.  A variety of accommodations, including the flagship Renaissance Resort at World Golf Village, also are available. Read Less
