For those visitors who miss the cold and ice, the ice skating rink at The Village of Baytowne Wharf is the perfect opportunity to get into the winter spirit. The seasonal ice skating rink has become a local holiday favorite. For $10 guests can skate for an hour and a half. Skate rental is available for $2. The first hour of each day is reserved for "kids skate" for youths 12 and under. The Ice Rink is available for private functions.

Join us for the 10th annual Mardi Gras Dog Parade. The streets will be filled with costumed dogs and their humans throwing a myriad of throws, beads, and parade favors. Themed convertibles, small floats (pulled by masters), golf carts, bicycles, and decorated wagons will be everywhere and Mardi Gras music will fill the air! The Mardi Gras Dog Parade is one of the premier canine events on the Emerald Coast with members of the four-pawed community coming far and wide to participate.

Prepare to let your hair down on what many call the most festive day of the year, Fat Tuesday, the day before Ash Wednesday. “Laissez les bon temps rouler” (let the good times roll) with the 11th annual Fat Tuesday Baytowne Bash Parade rolling through Sandestin. Yell “throw me something mister” as unique and colorful floats, golf carts, and pick-up trucks roll down the streets and marchers dressed up in all their Mardi Gras best shower parade-goers with a barrage of beads, moon pies, and other trinkets. The novel mile walk, “hop” and egg hunt, sponsored by the new Sandestin Foundation for Kids will be held in the beautiful setting of the Jolee Island Nature Preserve at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. Children of all ages will have an opportunity to hunt for more than 4,000 eggs along the trails of Jolee Island. Eggs for the finding will be stuffed with candy, little toys, coins, cash or other special prizes. All proceeds for the event will go to the Sandestin Foundation for Kids. Parking will be conveniently located at the Baytowne Marina, just a short walk from Jolee Island. Since 2003, the Sandestin Wine Festival has bee held at The Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, allowing it to grow and expand into one of the largest events in Northwest Florida. The Sandestin Wine Festival brings an opportunity for discovery. Four days of unique experiences from Vintner Dinners, an Auction of rare and distinctive wines, and a wine tasting showcasing more than 600 domestic and international wines. Wine novices are able to learn more about wines and sample from a comprehensive selection including the finest appellations from all major producing countries in all varieties, styles and price ranges. Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort and Robin's Bikes & Fitness invite you to tour Florida's Emerald Coast during the Sandestin Beach Bicycle Tour this May. The weekend bicycle event is designed for all road cyclists. Participants will get an opportunity to soak in a scenic bike ride alongside pristine beaches including a rest stop in charming Seaside and also enjoy post-ride activities and mechanical support. The Sandestin Beach Bicycle Tour benefits the Alaqua Animal Refuge, an independent, non-profit organization located on Florida's Emerald Coast that advocates the general welfare and humane treatment of animals by providing shelter, prevention of pet overpopulation and adoption services.

Come kick off your summer at Sandestin for Memorial Day Weekend. Live music begins on Friday and lasts all weekend long. Enjoy bands on the Events Plaza stage from 7-9pm each night. The Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic at Sandestin has set the new precedent for world-class sportfishing tournaments along the Gulf Coast.
