You've probably heard countless "Christmas In July" promotions, but how about a little "Summertime In December?


I know just the place ... Jimmy Hulas.

My husband and I went out for dinner earlier this week and I found myself tweeting, "Dining outdoors and devouring some delicious fish tacos ... in December!  Only in Florida."

Since I was having one of those "I love living in Florida" moments, I thought I'd share the location of my secret groovy beach shack in the city.  Jimmy Hula's has two locations in Orlando, and I frequent the one in Winter Park.  It's decorated with surf boards and other coastal memorabilia with kitschy antique car seats as table booths.  There's also a wrap around porch, brightly colored adirondack chairs, and fun island music adding to the summertime vibe.

They're known for their famous fish tacos which you can have prepared in six different ways, and they also have a great list of gourmet burgers and a variety of beers that would rival a tap room. I alway order the Voodoo taco, sub the fried fish for grilled, and a heaping portion of fresh pineapple mango salsa.  My husband likes the "turf tacos" and typically orders the Citrus Marinated Pork.

So, if you're dreaming of a warm and tropical holiday season, Jimmy Hula's is the place to eat!
