The Ultimate Idaho Vacation

Meet Tobias Lumpkin, an over-worked city dweller who just got the ultimate call to adventure - a spontaneous action-packed, family-friendly Idaho vacation. The Great Idaho Getaway is a real-life story of the Lumpkin family as they're whisked off to Idaho for ten days of adventure travel, excitement, rest, and rejuvenation. The Lumpkin family experiences Idaho's scenic wonders, outdoor recreation, top-notch dining, luxury accommodations, and more. So silence your phone, grab some popcorn, and kick back and see what ten days of no work and all play in Idaho can do for an over-scheduled urbanite family.

Filming The Great Idaho Getaway Project

Lights, camera - are we there yet? Capturing the ultimate vacation home move was no small task. The 10-day shoot required a 21-member production crew using 6 Hi-Definition cameras, including 2 state-of-the-art RED cameras to bring to life the Lumpkin Family's 2,200 mile expedition across Idaho. The 55 hours of footage was painstakingly edited to a 35 minute feature and 3 featurettes spanning the range of the Idaho experience from candid vacation fun to awe-inspiring film-worthy scenic beauty. The result is a small taste of the visual feast that is Idaho.
