Ambassador Stephen Mull invites Andrew Nagorski to speak about his new book Hitlerland: American Eyewitnesses to the Nazi Rise to Power.

U.S. Ambassador to Poland Stephen Mull hosted a reception at his residence to celebrate the release of the Polish version of Andrew Nagorski’s book, Hitlerland: American Eyewitnesses to the Nazi Rise to Power. Those in attendance included the author himself Andrew Nagorski, former Foreign Minister and co-founder of PO, Bank Handlowy Dr. Andrzej Olechowski, Under Secretary of State Ms. Małgorzata Omilanowska, Editor-in-Chief, Wprost Mr. Michał Kobosko, TVN journalist Ms. Kinga Rusin, Halina Szpilman and more.

The evening started off with Ambassador Mull welcoming guests to his home and saying a few words about Andrew Nagorski. Following Ambassador Mull’s remarks, Mr. Nagorski talked about his book and shared some of the experiences he had with writing it. Guests in attendance received a signed of copy of Mr. Nagrorki’s book.

About the book :

Hitlerland: American Eyewitnesses to the Nazi Rise to Power is a historical narrative which features stories about American journalists and diplomats living in Berlin prior to Adolf Hitler taking power. The book focuses on how individuals viewed Hitler, his rise throughout the 1930’s and how Americans helped point out the nature of Nazi Germany.

About the author:

Andrew Nagorski is an award-winning journalist, vice president and director of public policy at the EastWest Institute, a New York-based international affairs think tank. During his career at Newsweek, he served as the magazine’s bureau chief in Hong Kong, Moscow, Rome, Bonn, Warsaw, and Berlin. He is the author of four previous books and has written for countless publications.
